Tanzanite Capital Placement founder Daniel Abilevitz named the firm after one of the world's rarest gemstones. Before entering finance, Daniel worked in the jewelry industry, where he first encountered Tanzanite and its unique qualities. Found only in a single location in the world, the gemstone represents rarity, discernment, and enduring value.
Just as the gemstone is distinguished by its uncommon characteristics, Tanzanite Capital Placement was founded on the belief that exceptional investment opportunities are also uncommon. Our role is not to represent every opportunity—it is to identify those that have earned introduction to long-term investor relationships.
Daniel Abilevitz has spent more than a decade helping clients make significant financial decisions across banking, commercial lending, capital formation, and alternative investments. Throughout his career, one principle has remained consistent: opportunities should be evaluated rigorously before they are recommended.
His experience spans institutional banking at JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup, Santander, and Bank of Hope, as well as founding Tanzanite Capital Placement, where he evaluates emerging managers and private market opportunities before introducing them to sophisticated investors.
Today, Daniel applies that same disciplined framework to evaluating emerging managers, aligning opportunities with investor objectives, and building long-term relationships founded on trust.
Daniel graduated from Brooklyn College with a B.S. in Accounting. He holds FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licenses.
